As we write out this message, we know many of you are in your homes wondering what changes tomorrow might bring. We know that there is uneasiness in the unknown. But we also know that together we can get through anything. You can count on us to be there for you when you need us.
At Skymint, we’ve always put the safety, health and well-being of YOU first. That remains the number one priority at all Skymint locations. We’ve taken proactive measures in recent weeks to ensure we deliver on that promise.
How we’re taking care of you:
We are social distancing
To limit contact, we’ve temporarily closed our sales floors inside Skymint stores. We are currently offering online ordering and curbside pick-up at all locations. We’ve launched delivery at select locations.
We are cleaning and disinfecting
Our team has increased the amount they are disinfecting surfaces in-store and at curbside. We are following all Center for Disease Control recommended best practices for personal hygiene and store cleanliness. We’ve provided all employees access to gloves, masks and hand sanitizer.
We are monitoring our own health
We are closely and carefully monitoring our own health and are instructed to take immediate action, including seeking medical attention and staying home at the first signs of symptoms.
We’ve altered our production facility
We are pre-packaging all products in bio-secure, clean and controlled environments, per our normal protocol and procedure. We’ve installed hand sanitizer stations, shoe sanitizer/shoe cover stations, mask stations, and glove stations at the entrance of our production facility. We are health screening all employees and taking daily temperatures to check for fever.
We are using personal protective equipment
Our team has access to gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer for packaging your product and delivering curbside. Our goal is to keep you all safe by limiting as much human contact as possible.
How we are taking care of our employees
We’ve increased paid sick leave
We’ve assured our team that we will provide them with the resources they need so they don’t feel pressured to come to work if showing any signs of symptoms. We’ve increased paid sick leave to anyone who needs to take care of themselves or a loved one.
We’ve instituted Gratitude Pay
We’ve increased the pay of our essential workers by 20%. We couldn’t provide you with our amazing plants if it wasn’t for their dedication to serving you.
We’ve upgraded our air purification systems
We’ve installed HEPA Air Purifiers at our production facility and inside all stores.
We work from home when we can
Prior to the first stay-at-home order was issued, we encouraged all non-essential
workers to work from home. We have continued to our remote worker policy.
We are social distancing at our facilities too
We’ve instituted social distancing strategies within our own buildings to limit human-to-human contact as much as possible.
